Paris, 18th June 2013: Travel Service Airlines has chosen AJW Aviation, the leading independent complete aircraft spares support specialist, to provide power-by-the-hour support for another five years.
This five-year extension will now provide support for its fleet of 27 aircraft comprising B737-700 and B737-800. The contract will also continue to include free access to AJW parts, held at the airline’s Central European support and logistics centre in Prague; allowing for quick and easy distribution of spares, as well as providing ‘C’ checks and comprehensive Boeing spares inventory. The value of the on-site stock will also gradually be increased to $15 million over time, to accommodate the growing fleet and save on AOG logistical costs.
Travel Service Airlines was started in 2007 and is leader in the chartered flight market in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. Since 2004 Travel Service has also been operating regular flights under the SmartWings brand as well as private flights since 2007.
Roman Vik, CEO of Travel Service Airlines, explains why power-by-the-hour provides ideal support for the operation. “During the course of a year, Travel Service aircraft land at more than 250 airports on four continents so we need a global support team that we can count on to maintain optimum efficiency with predicable operational costs. Since 2007 AJW Aviation has helped Travel Service Airlines build our reputation for reliability and value and we rely on their support 24/7.”
“AJW is delighted to continue its relationship with Travel Service Airlines,” affirms Christopher Whiteside, President of AJW Aviation. “Our growing affiliation with Central Europe is going from strength to strength and this demonstrates AJW’s outstanding value for money and excellent customer service that is embodied within AJW PBH support contracts.”
This new contract once again underlines the benefits of PBH, pooling and leasing options available from AJW. Already highly regarded for its award-winning 24/7 AOG and critical component services, AJW is also currently growing its integrated consumables management and aircraft engine services business. This year the Company has commenced operations at its new AJW Technique component repair and overhaul facility in Montréal; which is the centralised hub for the global AJW repair supply chain and delivers a broad range of component repair and overhaul services to the AJW Aviation global customer base of more than 800 airlines in 115 countries.
