Tucson, Arizona, June 10, 2013 - Sargent Aerospace & Defense, a leading supplier of precision engineered components and aftermarket services, and an operating company within Dover Corporation’s (NYSE: DOV) Communication Technologies Segment, announced that it will be expanding its Franklin, Indiana, facility by doubling the current square footage of the shop. Ground breaking ceremonies commenced on Friday, May 17, 2013.
Due to an expanded business portfolio over the past 3 years, Sargent is pushing growth even further by expanding the existing facility. The Franklin, Indiana facility overhauls tubes, ducts, and manifolds for commercial airlines worldwide. Sargent has recently received Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) approval and boasts its cost saving initiatives for customers through proprietary repairs and unrivaled turnaround times.
“The expansion is a result of the hard work and dedication of personnel at the Franklin facility and growth in the aerospace market,” says Operations Manager, Sal DeMore. “And we hope to grow even further to accommodate more customers’ needs with the facility expansion.” Franklin, Indiana mayor, Joe McGuiness, also joined the day’s celebrations by standing alongside the Sargent management team and shoveling the first ground break. The facility expansion is expected to be completed in 90 days.
