TEMPE, Ariz. – June 10, 2013 – StandardAero Business Aviation has been certified as an authorized testing facility for the Honeywell TFE731-50 engine. The new testing capability is being offered at StandardAero’s Houston, Texas (IAH) facility. StandardAero conducted its first TFE731-50 engine test in April.

“The TFE731-50 engine fleet is coming up on its first scheduled, major periodic inspections (MPIs); although the manufacturer does not require a test cell run after performing an MPI, it has been StandardAero’s policy to run our MPIs through our test cells,” said Scott Taylor, Senior Vice President, Business Aviation, StandardAero. “This capability and extra test effort provides our customers with the highest level of confidence that the flight department will make their schedule with their compressed time and utilization demands.”

“We made a significant investment by adding this capability,” said Eric Thompson, Product Director – Engines, Business Aviation, StandardAero. “This investment demonstrates our long- term commitment to serving our customers’ TFE engine needs.”

The TFE731-50 is the most recent engine certified by Honeywell. StandardAero is the only facility, other than the OEM, who has TFE731-50 test capability. The TFE731-50 powers the Hawker 900XP aircraft and there are over 350 engines currently in service.
