Coppell, TX, June 03, 2013 — Representatives of Superior Air Parts, Inc., announced today that Dennis Henson has joined the Coppell, Texas-based company as its new Director of Production and Technical Support.
“There are two areas where Superior has strived to separate itself from its competition – production quality and ongoing technical support for our global customer base,” stated Timothy T. Archer, Superior Air Parts’ CEO and President. “With his wide range of senior-level management and hands-on technical experience, Dennis is going to play a major role in helping us further strengthen those advantages.”

I am very excited about all of the various opportunities offered by Superior Air Parts,” Henson said. “I will be involved with everything from engine final assembly and pre-delivery testing, to working directly with our customers on ways to improve our technical support capabilities.”
Archer stated that, in addition to his impressive technical and production skills, Henson’s experience and success with training and supervising technicians of all skill-levels will be especially helpful in optimizing Superior’s manufacturing processes and production capabilities both at the company’s headquarters in Coppell, Texas and its sister facility in Beijing, China.
“Going back to China is one part of the job that I am especially looking forward to,” Henson stated. “I made lots of friends there in the aviation industry and I am looking forward to working with them to streamline processes and gain approvals for engines and components manufactured at Superior’s Beijing facility.
Earlier in his career, Henson led the first successful American and Chinese joint venture to open a Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) approved Part 141 flight school in China.
Before joining Superior Air Parts, Henson was the Director of Aviation, Maintenance for the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, OK. Prior to that, he was the Director of Aviation for the International Aviation and Travel Academy in Arlington, TX.
Henson is an FAA-licensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, with an Inspector Authorization (IA). He is a private pilot with over 1,000 hours total time. He owns and classic airplane and has restored a classic Spartan C-3 biplane. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam as an Aircraft Mechanic, Flight Line Leader and Helicopter Crew Chief.
