Aviation Instructors Honored by Bell Helicopters

Aviation Institute of Maintenance's instructors, Henry Hilburn and George Lux were presented awards and honors for their military maintenance service on the Bell Helicopters utilized during the Vietnam War.

DALLAS, TX (5/29/13) –On April 26, 2013, Bell Helicopter representatives presented the Dallas campus of Aviation Institute of Maintenance’s instructors, Henry Hilburn and George Lux, awards and honors for their military maintenance service on the Bell Helicopters utilized during the Vietnam War.  

“The select stories these gentlemen choose to share with us are emotionally inspiring,” states Campus Executive Director, David Meierotto, “we are able to reflect on a time in U.S. history that many accomplishments and sacrifices were not always properly acknowledged.” 

Bell Helicopter’s gesture is evidence of their commitment to honor those who bravely served.   The school is truly privileged to have instructor like Hilburn and Lux in addition to a number of other dedicated instructors whom have served in the armed forces in various capacities and share their experience and knowledge with our students, future A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Technicians.
