KOKOMO, Ind. (May 29, 2013)… The Wings and Wheels Board recently announced they will move forward with the annual Wings and Wheels airshow. This event will remain free to the public.

The event, held on Saturday, June 8 at the Kokomo Municipal Airport, will include a number of aerobatic, warbird and jet acts as well as static auto and aircraft attractions. Food tickets are available for purchase, and all proceeds from those sales will benefit local organizations, including Project Access.

“We are proud to be able to continue this free event, which provides the community with exceptional airshow entertainment while also boosting the local economy,” said Pam Wild, event coordinator. “We are also honored to have still been given the funding and opportunity to hold this event, now in its fifth year.”

Local pilots Dr. Wild, with his Super Decathlon, and Ty Lingo, with his Piper J-3 Cub, join a number of other the nation’s top aerobatic pilots to provide entertainment for the event. The Wings and Wheels Board is still seeking sponsorship for the event, which will help cover the cost of air fuel and enable more and longer flying attractions.
