Ontic and Curtiss-Wright Controls Sign License Agreement on Pilot Controls and Transmitter/Indicator Product Lines

Geneva… Ontic, (Stand 364) the aerospace industry’s leading producer of licensed and/or acquired OEM legacy products and systems, has signed a significant new license agreement with Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing for the support of Pilot Controls and Transmitter / Indicator product lines which further expands Ontic’s electronic and electro-mechanical portfolio.

The Pilot Controls products include landing gear levers with integral light plates and electronics, tiller modules, pilot LED checklists, flight control surface indicators, rudder trim switches and push-to-talk switches. The products are used on commercial, business, and military aircraft applications, including Boeing 727, 737, 747, 747F, 757, 767, DC8, DC9, DC10, MD80, MD11, and C17; Fokker  F100 and  F70; Cessna 680 Sovereign , Excel XLS, Cessna 750 (Citation X), and CJ4; Bombardier DHC8, CL-215, Challenger, CL-415 and  LearJet 85; and Lockheed F22.  The Transmitter / Indicator product lines are used on the BAE Hawk military jet trainer providing information on the movement of remote components and control surfaces.

The products will be transitioned via Ontic’s proven “adoption” process from their current North American and United Kingdom locations into Ontic’s Chatsworth, California and Cheltenham, UK facilities.  Ontic will provide customers complete support, including production and aftermarket manufacturing and MRO services.
