LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (May 15, 2013) – FlightSafety International and Gulfstream announce the expansion of the Total Technical Training Program to include comprehensive aircraft Cabin Systems courses.

The Total Technical Training program, developed jointly by FlightSafety and Gulfstream, is designed to improve troubleshooting skills and increase the operational knowledge of those who support and maintain Gulfstream aircraft. Over 20,000 Total Technical Training Program courses have been provided to date.

“Today's advanced technology cabins require an increased focus on equipping Flight Attendants and Flight Engineers with the knowledge they need to ensure that passengers can easily leverage the business and entertainment tools in the cabin,” said Tim Steinhauser, Director of Customer Relations for Gulfstream. “We've embedded an experienced Gulfstream Cabin Operations expert into the FlightSafety program, reinforcing the classroom training with practical, on-equipment experiences in the aircraft or in specially designed labs.”

“Expanding the Total Technical Training program to include Gulfstream aircraft cabin systems courses shows our commitment to provide the very best practical, hands-on instruction,” said Chip White, Manager, Savannah Learning Center. “The new Cabin Systems courses will offer the latest, most complete information from Gulfstream and FlightSafety, and will be delivered by highly qualified instructors using advanced training devices and systems.”

Gulfstream G650 Cabin Systems and Gulfstream G450 and G550 Elite Cabin Systems courses are available at FlightSafety’s Savannah Learning Center. These interactive, practical training courses feature Desktop Trainers, a touch-screen Emulator with aircraft specific configuration files, Passenger Control Units (iTouch), and iPads with the Gulfstream Cabin application. Additional training on Gulfstream cabin operations for maintenance technicians, flight attendants, and pilots, is provided through FlightSafety in conjunction with Satcom Direct. The course includes demonstrations on the Rosen Blu-ray player, the multi function printer, Gulfstream Satcom Voice application on iPhone, and phone calls through iridium and inmarsat. Additionally, FlightSafety will soon offer a Gulfstream G650 Cabin Crew Transition course at its Savannah Learning Center and a Gulfstream G280 Cabin Systems course at its Dallas Learning Center.
