Elliott Aviation Promotes Greg Sahr to President

Sahr was previously Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. He will focus on strengthening the Elliott Aviation brand, enhancing the customer experience, and increasing efficiencies.


Moline, IL, May 8, 2013 - Elliott Aviation, a leader in a diverse set of business aviation services, today announced the promotion of Greg Sahr to President. In his new role, Sahr will focus on strengthening the Elliott Aviation brand, enhancing the customer experience, increasing efficiencies, solidifying industry partnerships and developing new business opportunities. He was previously Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

Sahr’s over 18 years of experience started as an Avionics Installer at ElectroSonics where he was quickly promoted to lead installer supporting avionics installations on a variety of aircraft all over the United States. Shortly after Garret Aviation (GE) purchased ElectroSonics, he was appointed Site Leader of their Columbus, Ohio location. During this time with Garret, he led several very successful programs including a US and European dealer Citation RVSM kit program, as well as oversight and responsibility for installation teams worldwide. Moving into Avionics and Maintenance sales during the eventual purchase of Garrett by the Carlyle group and rebrand to Landmark Aviation, Sahr was then promoted and relocated to Dallas to run the Central US sales team which, within 18 months, became the top team in the country. When Landmark was purchased by StandardAero (Dubai Aerospace Enterprises), he took on both the Central and Western US territories and again led the top performing sales teams in the company.

Sahr joined Elliott Aviation in February of 2011. During his time at Elliott Aviation, he totally rebuilt and restructured the Tech Sales and Marketing team, increasing maintenance, repair and overhaul sales. This includes nearly doubling Hawker sales, solidifying Elliott’s status of the only independent Hawker authorized service center east of the Rocky Mountains. In addition, he has overseen the sales launches of Elliott’s accessory and landing gear overhaul shop, aftermarket avionics program and led sales for the company’s industry-leading Garmin G1000 King Air retrofit program.
