Pattonair (www.pattonair.com), a leading global aerospace and defense supply chain service provider, is delighted to announce it has moved its Indianapolis, Indiana operations into a new 24,000 square foot distribution centre on April 8 2013, supporting service for its client: Rolls-Royce North America.

During the 2011 implementation of the contract with Rolls-Royce, Pattonair established an interim building to begin operations. Since inception, the business has seen development of various logistical solutions servicing several different Rolls-Royce facilities in the region. The April move into this innovative, fit-for-purpose facility will enable Pattonair to maintain consistently high service levels while setting a firm foundation for continued growth.

Pattonair’s new building is strategically located at the AmeriPlex-Indianapolis Business Park, five miles from the Indianapolis International Airport. It is intended to seamlessly complement its customer’s facilities that are located only minutes away. The new site has been designed as a centre of distribution excellence, clearly demonstrating the Pattonair standard for operations worldwide.

Jeff Baxter, Rolls-Royce North America’s Manufacturing Engineering Manager and IPT Lead, states: “It has been my extreme pleasure to participate in the Pattonair-Indianapolis Site Transition Project with my Pattonair teammates. The attention to detail and overall professional approach gives me great assurance that the project will be a significant success for both Rolls-Royce and Pattonair. I look forward to the new site being considered as an integral component to our central Indiana facilities by becoming our ‘Distribution Centre of Excellence.’ I very much enjoy the environment of partnership between us on this project.”

Stephen Gifford, Pattonair’s Director of Operations, commented: “We’re on target to complete the migration to our new facility in early April and we anticipate full utilization of all the opportunities it offers to enhance the service we provide for such an important client as Rolls-Royce.”

Wayne Hollinshead, CEO of Pattonair added: “Pattonair looks forward to continuing our strong relationship with Rolls-Royce over the coming years and providing them with an optimum quality service.”
