Lufthansa Technik keeps its high level of workload in the Asian VIP jet completion market. From the beginning of 2012 to February 2013 Lufthansa Technik has delivered eight Airbus Corporate Jets and Boeing Business Jets to Chinese and other Asian customers.

The aircraft were completed in Lufthansa Technik's completion center in Hamburg/Germany and in Tulsa/Oklahoma, at BizJet International, Lufthansa Technik's hundred percent US subsidiary. Another BBJ will be delivered to the Chinese Nanshan Group, located in Longkou on Jiaodong Peninsula, in the second quarter of 2013. Further three narrow-body aircraft completions from Asian customers are still in Lufthansa Technik's orderbook.

"The Asian and especially the Chinese VIP aircraft market are significantly increasing every year. We are very proud that several customers from this region set their trust in our abilities. Thanks to our careful strategy and the precisely controlled build-up of capacities and capabilities we have been able to handle the high workload of the last year without any compromise in quality or adherence to schedules. Our current completion projects give us a very good capacity utilization until end of 2014 and we have some promising talks with potential customers also beyond this date," said Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales at Lufthansa Technik.

"We are also pleased about the business perspective for our VIP-maintenance services which are an essential part of our strategy. Our tailor-made products offer highly individualized technical solutions for our VIP customers over the complete life-cycle of their aircraft."

The Lufthansa Technik VIP-maintenance services comprise a large variety of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft, components and engines. Mobile teams run planned maintenance events on the customers' aircraft at their homebase. Dedicated emergency teams support Lufthansa Technik customers in Aircraft-On-Ground situations worldwide.

In addition to the actual business with VIP customers from Asia Lufthansa Technik is currently completing one  Boeing 767 and two Boeing 747-8 wide-body aircraft plus one BBJ from Middle East customers in Hamburg.

BizJet International is currently working on two BBJ and an ACJ318 aircraft from Asian customers.

Both completion centers in Hamburg/Germany and Tulsa, Oklahoma/US have to date completed and modified over 90 wide-body and narrow-body aircraft for private and government customers, among them more than 15 Boeing 747 jumbos.
