Dave Newton Joins Dallas Airmotive as Regional Engine Manager

He will represent the company’s engine services in Central and North Florida.

DALLAS – April 11, 2013 – Dallas Airmotive, a leading provider of OEM-approved turbine engine repair and overhaul, today announced the hiring of industry veteran Dave Newton to represent the company’s engine services in Central and North Florida. Newton will sell all of the company’s engine and APU product lines. He will be based in Tampa, Florida and report to Randy Sasser, Territory Director.

Newton has more than 30 years of sales, technical, management and customer relations experience helping operators keep their turbine powered business aircraft flying. He spent the past 24 years in the Southeast U.S. with British Aerospace and Hawker Beechcraft supporting technical services, maintenance, sales and marketing support.

Newton started his career at Gulfstream Aerospace and then moved on to Atlantic Aviation where over a period of 11 years he progressed from Technician to Crew Chief to Service Manager. Newton joined British Aerospace in 1989 and remained there through the merger with Beechcraft in 1993 until the present. He served in numerous roles, most recently Regional Senior Field Service Manager out of Tampa, Florida.

Newton graduated from Upper Bucks Institute of Aeronautics and holds an Airframe & Powerplant license. He is well versed in all phases of engine maintenance and has attended numerous Honeywell and Pratt & Whitney Canada propulsion courses.
