Executive brings wealth of military aviation experience to new role

Dale Miller has joined Page Industries, Vacaville, CA, as vice president. Miller will be responsible for all the company's project work and military/government sales.

Miller is a leading military aircraft external 400Hz, 28VDC and 270VDC ground power systems expert. His background in military aircraft external and ground power systems, coupled with an in depth understanding of the aviation support equipment industry and facilities, provides him with an immense knowledge base.

Miller received a BS degree in Aviation Management and Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Florida campus. He worked in the air freight forwarding industry before entering the U.S. Navy.

His highly decorated career included tours with the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team “Blue Angels” Rating Detailer in Washington D.C. and a classified Aviation Special Projects Command.

Formally educated in aircraft electrical and avionics systems, he has managed large Naval Aviation maintenance departments in the United States, overseas, and allied foreign services. He has extensive formal training from Honeywell, Texas Instruments, and Raytheon in a vast number of aircraft avionic and electrical systems.

Miller has worked with many DOD and DHS branches including NAVAIR, NAVFAC, NAVSEA, aircraft manufactures and electrical design engineers, to develop specifications, facilities requirements, and design build criteria for the Navy, Marine Corp, Coast Guard, and Army on new construction and recapitalization projects. Some of the positions Mr. Miller has held include; Aircraft Systems Quality Assurance Representative, Aircraft Dispatcher releasing aircraft safe for flight, Ground and Flight Safety Supervisor, Aircraft Engineering Department Manager, and Avionics/Electrical Component Repair Production Manager.

He held a Top Secret clearance the majority of his military career, and is a certified ISO 9000/2000 Lead auditor and an Electrical Journeyman. One of the many services Miller  provides for all the military branches of service is onsite performance verification and assessments of their fixed ground power systems. These consultant style reports provide a detailed analysis on the systems capability to support today’s modern military aircraft and recommendations to optimize them.
