TEMPE, Ariz. – March 25, 2013 – StandardAero announced that it has signed an exclusive, long-term, agreement with J-AIR to maintain the APS2300 Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) on their current and future fleet of Embraer 170 aircraft.

J-AIR, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Airlines International, is a regional airline operating approximately 158 flights daily to more than 27 destinations in 20 cities, under the name of Japan Airlines (carrier code: JL). J-AIR uses Osaka International Airport (Itami/ITM) and Sapporo (SPK) in Hokkaido, the largest city in the northern part of Japan, as its main bases of operation.
StandardAero is the first independent MRO Service Provider to be authorized by Hamilton Sundstrand to maintain the APS2300 APU, which are operated globally. Last August, StandardAero delivered its 6,000th APU since the program’s inception in 1995. The milestone took place at StandardAero’s Maryville, Tenn. facility and was a Hamilton Sundstrand APS2300, delivered to a commercial customer.
