March 25, 2013, Las Vegas, NV , AEA Trade Show … JETTECH, a leader in developing affordable aftermarket aircraft solutions, has added the Citation V to it’s expanding fleet of Garmin G600 RMSM equipped Cessna Citation 500 series aircraft. An FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) has been awarded to JETTECH for the Glass Panel EFIS installation modification covering 259 of the legacy Citation 560 series model aircraft.
With this STC, JETTECH now offers installation kits for Citation models 500, 501, 550, 551, S550 and the 560 aircraft with serial numbers 0001 thru 0259. Installation kits will be available through JETTECH approved Garmin authorized dealers along with a complete documentation package to support the installation process.
According to Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH, the new modification is designed to provide pilots with the highest degree of Situational Awareness including synthetic vision, terrain awareness, traffic collision avoidance systems, digital weather radar, satellite weather radar and lightning strike information.
Irwin said one of the most important features of the STC is the retention of the existing RVSM system installed in the aircraft. He said by using JETTECH’s proprietary Air Data Interface Unit (AIU), the aircraft’s existing RVSM solution will still be displayed on the copilot side as well as on the pilot side.
“Additional major equipment upgrades are included in the installation,” Irwin explained. “These upgrades include replacing the existing Iron Vertical and Horizontal Gyros with advanced solid state Attitude Heading Referencing System (AHRS).”
In addition to the Garmin G600 STC Install for Legacy Citations, JETTECH previously announced a Garmin G600 RVSM STC Award for Cheyenne III, IIIA & 400LS. Also, JETTECH owns the STC install for the Garmin GTN 650/750 “Touch Screen” series GPS for the Citation 500 series that includes WAAS approvals.

JETTECH RVSM solutions are compliant with the FAAs more stringent mandated requirements and exceed the FAAs TSO accuracy requirements.
The pending STC is for single or dual GTN 650/750 fully integrated GPS/NAV/COMM. It also includes WAAS approvals and will certify the aircraft for fully autopilot coupled GPS LPV approaches.
The JETTECH RVSM installation is the only STC approved solution for Cheyenne IIIA and 400LS aircraft.
