Juan Carlos Garcia Appointed General Manager, Swissport Cargo Spain

Swissport International Ltd., the world’s leading provider of ground services to the aviation industry, has appointed Juan Carlos Garcia as the new General Manager for Swissport Cargo Services in Spain. He will assume his duties effective on March 15, bringing more than 25 years of managerial experience from various industries to the role. His last position in Swissport was Passenger Services Airport Manager at Madrid-Barajas Airport.

Juan Carlos Garcia has 25 years of management experience in various capacities in different industries including the aviation industry. His career includes positions in companies like Thyssen, Daewoo and Johnson Controls, and he has lately been managing the Swissport Ground Handling Passenger Services business at Madrid-Barajas Airport. This ample experience will give a solid base while leading the cargo business in Spain going forward. Juan Carlos will replace Jesús Romero, who will move on in Swissport Cargo Services to become the Commercial Director for Europe.
