Esterline CMC Electronics Promotes its Leading Edge Avionics at Heli-Expo 2013

Heli-Expo, Las Vegas, Nevada – March 4, 2013) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is showcasing its high-performance avionics systems at this year’s Heli-Expo in Booth # 4117. Show attendees are invited to visit CMC for a demonstration of the company’s industry leading flight management systems (FMS), Wide Area Augmentation System Global Positioning System (WAAS GPS) receivers,  electronic flight bags (EFB) and portable mission displays.

The CMA-4000 single box Flight Management and Display System exemplifies the company’s extensive pedigree in mission computing and display technologies for demanding military applications. The centre of an integrated glass cockpit, this NVG compatible system provides for seamless navigation throughout all phases of flight, acts as a radio management system, drives external MFDs and interfaces with any set of navigation and mission sensors.

The company’s CMA-5024 high-integrity aviation WAAS GPS receiver with hover hold is certified by the FAA and Transport Canada for stand-alone approach operations. The GPS-based hover hold makes safe hover operations accessible to a wider class of helicopters.

CMC’s PilotView® Electronic Flight Bags improve productivity by enabling pre-flight planning and efficient access to aircraft documentation, checklists and flight planning information. PilotView increases situational awareness in-flight with approach charts, moving maps, EVS display and graphical real time weather information. PilotView is a compact, lightweight system with a display/processor unit and aircraft interface unit which are to easy to install in a variety of cockpits where space is at a premium.  

CMC’s compact TacView® Portable Mission Display facilitates airborne mission effectiveness through improved real-time situational awareness and paperless cockpit applications.
