Mesa, Arizona – March 4, 2013. Phoenix Heliparts, Inc., in conjunction with 1st Source Bank and Southwest Aviation Insurance Group will offer financing and insurance options on its future MD 500 sales. Phoenix aims for its Mesa headquarters to become a one-stop shop for MD 500 purchases by providing a total service experience and simplifying the process of restoring and upgrading MD 500s.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary at Heli-Expo 2013, Phoenix Heliparts has become renowned for its custom MD 500 restorations. For the ten-year milestone, Phoenix will also offer a $10,000 credit to anyone who signs a purchase order for one or both MD 500s currently undergoing complete refurbishing work, and places a deposit, at the show.
Phoenix Heliparts president, Tina Cannon, said, “Our goal with bringing financing and insurance in-house is to reduce the challenges that buyers face when undergoing a custom helicopter restoration. Conventional banking may not be an option in these situations, and the difficulty can be compounded by the challenge of finding affordable insurance coverage, especially for low-time private pilots – the situation can be a deal-breaker.
Phoenix has worked closely with 1st Source Banking vice-president, Rick Michalski, on other projects including the one involving the MD 500D on display at Heli-Expo 2013.
Cannon added, “Rick understands the value and workmanship that goes into our custom restorations. He knows how funding these projects through progress payments keeps each program on track.
“Dave Monaco, president of Southwest Aviation Insurance Group has also been able to put in place $50 million worth of coverage for our high net worth clients, as well as provide affordable coverage for low-time private owners. Our relationships with these institutions have added real value to the experience we offer our customers.”
Phoenix is offering two MD 500D build positions for 2013: a 1981 MD 500D, S/N 410953 with a TSN of 573.6; and another with S/N 1170229D and a TSN of 2,365.7.
