Middlefield, Ohio. March 4, 2013 — Airwolf Aerospace has been named the OEM vendor and aftermarket supplier of Enstrom 480 Tension-Torsion (TT) straps. The new straps allow for a 36-month/1,200-hour calendar life, which offers customers 50% more value when compared to previous units.
Customers will be able to purchase the Airwolf-manufactured straps through Enstrom, or directly from Airwolf at a discounted price. The straps are currently in development and Airwolf will set its price in the coming months; the company will be the only FAA-PMA supplier offering the straps to end customers.
Airwolf has built a reputation for manufacturing cost-effective, reliable products, and the company brings significant expertise from its recent development of Bell 206/206L TT straps.
Airwolf Aerospace technical director, John Montana, said, "With Enstrom we have now become their OEM vendor of TT Straps. This achievement underscores our adherence to the strict qualifications and certifications needed for the supply of approved parts. We're not some fly-by-night operation; we're certified by the FAA, and we offer better value for Enstrom and Bell operators across the board. Demand for our products has never been stronger.
“Collaborating with Enstrom on this product, we’ll be offering straps to in-production helicopters as well as the nearly 200 Enstrom 480 owners, worldwide. Airwolf is committed to bringing essential parts to rotorcraft owners at a reasonable price.”
Airwolf manufactures its straps under its FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA). The straps are STC’d by FAA, EASA, ANAC, and TCCA.
Using its proprietary manufacturing processes, over the coming months and years Airwolf will bring many PMA parts and various TT strap models to market.
Launched in 2011, Airwolf’s TT straps have become a popular choice for customers looking for better value. Airwolf currently offers FAA-PMA certified TT straps for all Bell 206 Jet Rangers, 206L Long Rangers, and OH 58s, and is also developing TT straps for Bell UH-1, 204, 205, 210 and 212.
Airwolf Aerospace LLC. is a proven leader in value, bringing products to market that lower direct operating costs.
They are approved for all Jet Rangers, Long Rangers, and military OH 58s and can be installed in the field by a licensed engineer.
Airwolf's TT straps anchor each rotor blade to the mast while accommodating the multi-directional forces inherent in rotorcraft flight. They will be on display at Booth 3561 at Heli-Expo.
This agreement allows Able to provide operators of Bell 206 and 407 helicopters a cost-effective alternative for parts and assemblies related to rotor brakes for these models.
