TEMPE, Ariz.  – February 28, 2013 – StandardAero announced that it has received Administración Nacional de Avianción Civil (ANAC) Brazil and ANAC Argentina Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approvals to upgrade Beechcraft King Air 200 Series aircraft to (P&WC) PT6A -42 and -52 engine models. StandardAero’s engine STC for the King Air 200 Series is fully compatible with numerous other airframe STC’s including Raisbeck Engineering modifications and Garmin G1000 avionics equipment.

“Today’s announcement provides Brazilian and Argentinian operators of King Air 200 Series aircraft with the operational and performance-related benefits offered by the upgrade to these two engines, as well as the engineering expertise and global reputation for quality provided through StandardAero,” said Alain Berube, Vice President, Turboprop Programs, StandardAero. “Our experience in the turboprop market and global footprint not only provides operators a reliable alternative, but the option to have this STC performed at their location of choice. With StandardAero’s engine-upgrade program, our customers can get new P&WC PT6A-42 or -52 engines for a comparable cost to overhauling their high time P&WC PT6A-41, -42 or -52 engines, while increasing performance and aircraft value.”

StandardAero is the only Designated Distributor and Overhaul Facility for P&WC PT6A engines that can offer customers both engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and engine upgrade options.  StandardAero also offers extended warranty coverage to 10 years or base time-before-overhaul.

Following are the specific countries’ STCs associated with each engine model and aircraft:

  • ANAC Brazil STC #2012S08-13:  PT6A-52 / King Air 200/B200
