Flying Colours Corp., the global aviation services company specialising in business aircraft maintenance, completions and refurbishments, has delivered the latest of its Challenger 300 aircraft projects to German air charter operator, FairJets GmbH. Maintenance work on the aircraft began in September 2012 and included a full 96-month heavy maintenance inspection. In addition the aircraft was given a full make over including new exterior paint and interior refurbishment. The project was jointly completed by both Flying Colours Corp. in Peterborough, Ontario and sister company JetCorp Tech Services in St Louis, Missouri. The aircraft has already re-entered the FairJets’ fleet and is one of the many aircraft available for charter via the German operator.
This project marks the second aircraft that Flying Colours Corp. has worked on for FairJets with previous activity including new exterior paint work on one of the German operator’s other managed aircraft, completed in February 2012. Flying Colours Corp. has developed an excellent working relationship with FairJets which is attracted by the Canadian company’s outstanding customer service and the ability to meet a multitude of refurbishment and maintenance needs under the care of one convenient and cost-effective organisation. Flying Colours Corp. is currently exploring a number of future projects with FairJets.
FairJets’ Managing Director Dr Dirk Bruse said: “We are pleased to have taken delivery of the Challenger 300. Flying Colours Corp. has completed a first class job, on time and on budget and we will continue to work with them to support the needs of our growing fleet.”
Eric Gillespie, Flying Colours Corp. Vice President said: “This aircraft was a truly joint effort between our two facilities and we look forward to working with FairJets GmbH again in the future. It demonstrates that the German charter business recognises Flying Colours Corp. offers value for money owing to our capabilities, quick turn time, and attention to detail.
Flying Colours Corp. achieved Bombardier Authorized Service Facility (ASF) status in October 2012 for the full range of maintenance services for Bombardier Challenger 300, 604, 605 and 850 models at both its Peterborough, ON, Canada and JetCorp Technical Services, St Louis, Missouri, USA locations. Buoyed by its new ASF status, Flying Colours has seen a significant growth in interest for maintenance and refurbishment work from other European operators, particularly those that travel to the North Americas on a regular basis.
