Kansas City, Mo. – February 11, 2013 – Ohio Highland County based PAS Technologies Inc. received the Distinguished New Supplier Award for Manufacturing from David Joyce, CEO of GE Aviation on February 7, 2013.
Representative Brad Wenstrup, M.D. (OH-02) commented, “I was honored to participate in the General Electric award ceremony for PAS Technologies. Both General Electric and PAS Technologies are 2nd District success stories, and they show what we’re capable of here in southwest Ohio. May we continue to build on their achievements.”At the ceremony in Washington, D.C., David Joyce presented the award to PAS Technologies Thomas C. Hutton, CEO and Mark Greene, General Manager of the Hillsboro, Ohio facility with Representative Brad Wenstrup also attending the award ceremony. Mr. Hutton commented, “I am very proud of the PAS Hillsboro team. They have really changed the game in becoming lean and providing industry leading value to such a successful and important customer as General Electric. Our recent success in Hillsboro is a true testament to world class employees, being supported by Highland County and the State of Ohio.”
PAS Technologies was one of three recipients of this year’s GE distinguished award. PAS Technologies’ Ohio facility is an FAA/EASA-certificated component repair station. The company’s new 30,000-square foot investment on property adjacent to its existing 55,000 square foot facility in Hillsboro meets all OEM/MRO requirements of component parts for aircraft engines as well as other types of industrial engines. The growth expands the company’s capability to provide additional specialized complex machining processes. The company has worked closely with the state of Ohio and Highland County to bring this development and increased volume of work to the Ohio community. The facility, which has been in Hillsboro since 1985, serves customers around the world, including operators of commercial airlines, the military and industrial turbine engine applications.
