The criteria for this award included parts stocked, current and new clients over the past 12 months, locations, number of employees, ability to source, supply and timescales.

London, January 31st 2013:  A J Walter Aviation, the leading independent complete aircraft spares support specialist, is proud to have been announced the winner of ‘The Aviation 100 Parts Supplier of the Year’ Award 2013.

The Airline Economics ‘Aviation 100’ awards recognises the year’s most outstanding performers in the aerospace industry based on votes and top ten rankings across strict criteria. The vote for ‘The Aviation 100 Parts Supplier of the Year’ is always greatly contested and this year AJW secured the majority of the vote, surpassing all other spares support specialists. All votes and nominations are filtered to ensure fairness and are then checked, verified and judged by the awards committee.

The criteria for this award included parts stocked, current and new clients over the past 12 months, locations, number of employees, ability to source, supply and timescales. This criteria is a refreshing reminder of AJW’s outstanding achievements in 2012 alone, with the celebration of their 80th year in aviation, the opening of their new multi-million dollar, purpose built, state-of-the art global headquarters and logistics centre, and the purchase of their component repair and overhaul facility in Montréal – AJW Technique.

Accepting the award Ian Malin, AJW Treasurer, Director and Chief Investment officer commented “This is a great start to 2013 for AJW. We are very proud to accept this award, particularly as it is voted for by our peers from across the aviation industry, including our customers, partners and suppliers, which makes it especially important to us.”

Malin continues, “Lead by a strong, ambitious and growing management team around the globe, AJW continues on course to deliver double-digit growth annually across an impressive portfolio of component, engine and consumables services.  We certainly look forward to defending our hard fought title as we continue to expand our business over the next twelve months.”

AJW is based out of London, Dubai, Singapore and Miami with further Airbus and Boeing inventory hubs across the globe. Already highly regarded for its award-winning 24/7 AOG and critical component supply services, AJW continues to develop a service portfolio which now incorporates component repair as well as integrated consumables, engine and airframe part-out activities. A significant global leader, AJW serves a customer base of more than 800 airlines with over 400 aircraft under contract.
