AJW Technique Strengthens Management Team as New Montréal CRO Facility Ramps Up Operations

Montréal, 29 January 2013:  AJW Technique focuses on expert knowledge and industry track record as it builds the new team to spearhead the Company’s component repair and overhaul services. Utilising one of the best industry-specific engineering skill bases in the world, the Montréal facility is the centralised hub for the AJW repair supply chain and will deliver a broad range of component repair and overhaul services to the A J Walter Aviation customer base of more than 800 airlines.

The new operational teams are led by four seasoned industry professionals who between them have eighty years’ experience in aviation.

Allan Pennycuick - Engineering and Quality Manager:  As well as being the PRM (Person Responsible for Maintenance), Allan will establish and maintain a Total Quality system to obtain Transport Canada and other regulatory certification’s for the new business.  In addition, he is responsible for developing an engineering organisation to support the start of operations and future growth of AJW Technique. 

With more than twenty years’ experience in the industry, Allan has held key Operations & Engineering Management positions with both major OEMs and independent MROs. He brings strategic and general management skills as well as extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing. 

Guy Salicco – Production Manager:  Guy supervises all operational production functions for AJW Technique together with the safety and environmental compliance of the operation.  Utilising the 6S shop organisation methodologies, Guy’s team will play a pivotal role in delivering the class-leading quality, reliability and turn-times that AJW Technique will deliver to its customers.

Guy is operational and change management experience has been gained from his time in the Canadian Air Force and subsequently at Air Canada and Aveos Fleet Performance. His open-minded approach will be critical in implementing the new management philosophies that are employed at AJW Technique which are based upon trust, accountability and responsibility.

Robert Gogo – Supply Chain Manager:  Robert leads the Supply Chain & Procurement functions for AJW Technique.  Robert’s team are responsible for ensuring that the material supply solutions implemented within AJW Technique enable the world-class turn-times targeted by the organisation. These will be facilitated through the innovative use of analytical tools and techniques employed in the broader industrial arena.

He brings nearly twenty years of Supply Chain management expertise gained in the commercial aviation industry, and has extensive experience working with equipment OEMs during his career with both Aveos Fleet Performance and Air Canada.

Carmine Di Fruscia – Financial Controller:  Carmine’s broad responsibilities span the administrative functions of AJW Technique including finance, treasury, human resources and IT.  His role exemplifies AJW Technique’s intention to keep a flat management structure with empowered and accountable employees.

Carmine is a qualified accountant and has held a variety of controller positions in both aviation and commercial organisations. His breadth of experience allied to his understanding of the aviation component maintenance business will benefit the smooth-running of the AJW Technique organisation.
