Annapolis, Maryland, USA, January 28, 2013 — ARINC Incorporated announced that it has completed installation of new passenger processing systems at Brussels Airport in Belgium. ARINC is also providing on-site support for the duration of the contract.

ARINC installed its CUPPS-compliant vMUSETM common use solution on nearly 500 workstations and is providing full maintenance and support services. The company is providing 40 CUSS self-service check-in kiosks, and has installed its VeriPax passenger verification system integrated with existing KABA gates to control access to the airside terminals. ARINC has also installed its AviNet global networking solution at the airport to provide secure WAN connectivity to airlines’ host systems.

“ARINC’s proven history of successfully migrating major airport sites to common-use passenger processing systems was a key factor in our selection decision. In addition, the efficient and cost-effective program is fully scalable to our airport and can be easily adapted to fit our projected growth,” said Pierre Gehrenbeck, CUTE & Telecommunications Service Manager, Brussels Airport.

“We look forward to a long and successful working relationship as we support Brussels Airport in their efforts to become the most efficient and welcoming airport in Europe. ARINC’s expertise in engineering new core infrastructures guarantees a smooth installation process that will not disrupt passengers or airport operations,” said Tony Chapman ARINC Senior Director, Integrated Travel Solutions.

ARINC’s vMUSE platform maximizes the use of airport infrastructure through shared workstations, reducing the need for complex and expensive hardware systems. It supports any application an airline chooses to use and is fully scalable to any size airline or airport. The open design of vMUSE allows for easy integration with flight information displays, baggage reconciliation, gate management, and operational databases. CUPPS technology significantly reduces the time and effort necessary for deploying airline applications by standardizing technical requirements, leading to cost savings and faster deployment.
