App lets companies list stock and/or MRO services.

SAN DIEGO, CA, January 22 2013 – Component Control announced today that its Parts Search App, an app that lets companies list stock and/or MRO services, and automate requests for quotes in real-time, can be leveraged on a company’s Facebook page to significantly increase visibility of their parts inventory.

Facebook technology enables users to embed the Parts Search App onto ’Company Pages’ with a tab on the home page called “Live Parts Search”. With the combination of social media growth and the interactive nature of the aviation aftermarket industry, vendors are now generating more and more interaction with customers through social media websites, in addition to their corporate websites, thereby expanding the need for more aviation centric apps.

Rod Kucheran, Sales and Business Development Manager at AOG Heliservices, Inc. commented: “It’s no secret that many people use Facebook to connect with business associates and vendors. With a “Live Parts Search” on our Company Facebook Page, our customers are able to see their search results and submit an RFQ without even leaving Facebook. And due to the concern over privacy issues surrounding social media these days, the Parts Search App allows our customers to have a secure method to search within Facebook with a guaranteed response from AOG.”

“As social media and technology advance, Component Control works diligently to leverage these tools to our customers’ advantage, making their jobs easier, providing maximum exposure to their parts and services and making it easier for their customers to purchase critical products for their aircraft business. As of today, there are over 12 million aviation professionals on Facebook at any given time,” comments Jason Cordoba, Director of StockMarket.aero.  “Every aviation association, airline, OEM, and aviation magazine has a ‘Company Facebook Page’ displaying their services. With the Parts Search App, every parts trader and MRO can quickly promote their services using this media channel to generate more revenue, 24/7.”

Whether the Parts Search App becomes the store front on a customer’s corporate website or its Company Facebook  Page, customers can log in to search, view, RFQ or initiate a purchase order. A company’s selected inventory is updated automatically in real-time, or manually, pending configuration, and information such as time & cycles, tag info, scanned documents and images can be attached to the Stock item to assist customers in their purchase decision. In addition, businesses can include and advertise their overhaul, manufacturing, and distribution capabilities directly to customers.
