AAAE Highlights Airport Priorities For New Congress
Letter to Congress warns about the impact of wide-ranging cuts on the nation's aviation system and to urge support for necessary airport infrastructure development
Alexandria, Va. - With the convening today of the 113th Congress and with lawmakers poised to make decisions in the weeks ahead on potential across-the-board cuts and other fiscal matters that could impact airports and the nation's aviation system, AAAE Gov President Todd Hauptli today wrote to congressional leaders to warn about the impact of wide-ranging cuts on the nation's aviation system and to urge support for necessary airport infrastructure development through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and elimination of the federal cap on local Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs).
