Alexandria, VA, December 6, 2012– The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) is pleased to announce that applications for the 2013 Aviation Maintenance Technician Employer Award Program are now available.

This award program, now in its third year, is designed to recognize companies that employ aviation maintenance technicians (AMT) and encourage and support AMT training. The award is based on the percentage of AMTs employed (directly or indirectly) by a maintenance organization that participate in qualified training events.

Over the first two years of this program, NATA has seen an increase of more than 15 percent in companies participating in the program.

"This program honored 32 businesses last year," said NATA Director of Regulatory Affairs Michael France. "We look forward to continuing to expand this program in 2013."

Applications for the 2013 Aviation Maintenance Technician Employer Award Program are now available and will be accepted through January 31, 2013. For more information on the program or to download an application packet, please contact Michael France at [email protected] or visit NATA's website.
