Taiwanese Company to Receive Seventh Furnace from Ipsen

 CHERRY VALLEY, IL – A 2-bar MetalMaster® was shipped to an Aerospace company in southern Taiwan. This is the seventh furnace that the company has purchased from Ipsen.

 

This unit’s round hot zone provides a work zone of 72” x 72” (1,830 mm x 1,830 mm) with a normal operating temperature range from 960°F to 2,400°F (515°C to 1,315°C). The single-chamber, batch-type vacuum heat treatment system is electrically heated with a gas blower inert gas quenching system for uniform cooling to avoid the deformation or twisting of parts. The vertical chamber is heavy and double-walled to provide full water cooling. The flanged, pneumatically automatic operated bottom cover is designed to ensure safe and convenient positive pressure quenching to 2 bar (or above) absolute pressure.

 

The MetalMaster’s enhanced partial pressure system helps to negate the vaporization of alloys at high process temperatures. This unit also incorporated the optional VFD vacuum booster to increase pumping speed and was configured with five independent zones of controls for exceptional and advanced temperature uniformity control for the high-grade aerospace materials the company is running.
