Phoenix Area Business Aviation Companies Partner for Storm Relief

Nov. 9, 2012

PHOENIX, AZ – Strat Fuel Consortium, a Phoenix-based aviation services company, has partnered with Cutter Aviation, Pinnacle Aviation, Arizona Business Aviation Association, area churches and anonymous corporate donors to collect and transport relief supplies to those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Strat Fuel Consortium partners are offering some mobile collection of blankets, coats, mittens and other items of new or gently used and clean warm clothing.  The AZBAA Generous donations of manpower and collection space are being supplied by Cutter Aviation at Sky Harbor International Airport and by Pinnacle Aviation at Scottsdale Airport.

“Stratosphere Fuel was thrilled to get the first call and to work with the AZBAA, Cutter Aviation, Pinnacle Aviation,” said Mike Gerber, managing partner.  Added Cutter Aviation’s Steve Prieser, CFO, “We’re just glad to be able to help the cause any way we can.”

Melodi Gerber of Strat Fuel coordinated with an anonymous corporate jet willing to take supplies to the Northeast.  However, area donations were so generous that in addition to the fully loaded aircraft, the group was able to load a 32 foot truck donated by Penske and driven to New Jersey by Alan Staats of AERObridge.

Strat Fuel Consortium, an AZBAA member,  partners with fixed base operations (including all Cutter Aviation locations), ground transportation providers, caterers and international handling services around the globe to provide preferred pricing to its members, including part 135 certificate holders, flight departments and non-US registered aircraft.  SFC offers membership at reasonable and predictable rates with transparency in all transactions.  For membership information, please contact Strat Fuel Consortium at 615-713-0290, or [email protected].

The AZBAA® is an organization of over 300 members of the Arizona Business Aviation community, consisting of but not limited to pilots, flight attendants, maintenance personnel, aircraft manufacturers, corporate flight departments, charter/management companies, aircraft insurance and sales companies, and FBOs.
