The Board of Directors of Partner Jet, is very pleased to announce the appointment of James (Jim) A. Morrison as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In announcing this promotion, the board said, “Jim’s experience and reputation within the aviation industry greatly enhances and augments the Partner Jet group and brings a new level of experience to our management and direction. He is well known and recognized for his business acumen and professionalism in all matters.” This appointment is effective immediately. Jim replaces Ian McDougall who has retired as the Company’s senior officer.
Mr. Morrison first came to Partner Jet in the fall of 2011 as Managing Director. In his new capacity he will hold senior responsibility for the day-to-day management, oversight and direction of all business in addition to managing the growth, development plans and activities of the Partner Jet team.
Jim Morrison’s appointment as senior officer represents an important new direction for Partner Jet. He brings a wealth of corporate and commercial aviation experience earned over decades in Canada and abroad. He started his flying career in 1966 and 1968 was working commercially with Bradley Air Services. He has a total of 13,000 flying hours to his credit, operating worldwide on a variety of aircraft types including DC3, HS 748, Twin Otter, Dash 8 and B737.
Morrison has held senior management positions with Air Creebec, Air Ontario, Skyservice, Execaire and until January 2011 was with Porter Airlines as Chief Operating Officer.
Jim also believes strongly in giving back to the community. He is a past member of the board of directors of the CBAA (Canadian Business Aviation Association) and ATAC (the Air Transportation Association of Canada) and currently serves on the board of
Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame.
