St. Louis, MO / November 01, 2012 – Jet Aviation has invested in its Houston and Dallas operations to increase capabilities and services offered to customers.

Jet Aviation recently expanded its maintenance capability at its newly acquired FBO at Houston’s Hobby Airport. In addition, Jet Aviation expanded its ramp at the FBO in Dallas at Love Field by 48,000 sq ft, bringing the total facility size to more than 250,000 sq ft.

“We are supplementing our existing expert in-line and AOG support for aircraft of all types and sizes, by adding staff and resources to support Houston’s growing large-cabin aircraft maintenance market,” said John Langevin, vice president, FBO operations, North America.

The company hired technicians with large-cabin experience, added tooling and purchased equipment to support Gulfstream, Bombardier and Falcon aircraft operators. In addition to providing line support including AOG and due items, Houston is expanding into small to medium inspections for base and transient clients. Maintenance is performed in a 30,000 sq ft dedicated hangar, and seven A&P technicians – with a combined total of 176 years of experience – are on staff.

In Dallas, the newly reinforced concrete ramp and added space allows Jet Aviation to handle larger aircraft, up to the size of a Boeing 757. The operation has a partnership with Southwest Airlines to utilize their air stairs, belt loaders and equipment for handling larger aircraft.

“With the acquisition of our newest FBO/MRO in Houston and the expansion of our Dallas operation to handle aircraft up to narrow-body jets, we are well-positioned in Texas to continue providing premier quality and service to our customers,” said Langevin.

Jet Aviation Houston is one of the largest and most modern FBOs at Houston Hobby Airport, providing fuel, catering, aircraft cleaning and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to private aircraft.

Jet Aviation Dallas opened in 1999 at Love Field, just seven miles northwest of downtown Dallas. The city center is just 20 minutes away, and it also allows visitors easy access to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The company offers domestic and international handling services, complete line services, aircraft interior and exterior cleaning, refueling and nightly hangaring of aircraft.
