Dallas Airmotive do Brasil Plans Move to Larger Facility

The new facility will double the space and will be in the Belo Horizonte area.

Orlando, Florida…October 29, 2012… Dallas Airmotive’s Brazilian Regional Turbine Center based in Belo Horizonte plans to move to a new, larger facility in 2013. Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company, opened its Brazilian facility in 2009 and demand has quickly outstripped capacity.

“Our acceptance by Brazilian and other operators in the region has been overwhelming,” commented Hugh McElroy, President of BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group. “We had a strong feeling when we established our Belo Horizonte facility that this would be the case, and we are gratified that the volume of work continues to grow significantly. Our new facility will more than double the space of the former so that we can accommodate the volume and add services to better support our customers.”

The new facility will be in the Belo Horizonte area. The additional space will enable the RTC to expand its service capacity and capabilities for in-region support of Honeywell TFE731 engines and GTCP 36 series APUs as well as Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A and PW100 engine maintenance support up to hot section inspection. The facility will also add enhanced engine repair services with MPI capability on additional TFE731 models such as the TFE731-5 and -20 series.

Dallas Airmotive is exhibiting during NBAA 2012 at BBA Aviation’s Booth #3100.
