Satellite Beach, Fla. (Oct. 29, 2012) – Satcom Direct, provider of satellite voice, fax, datalink and Internet communications solutions, is working with FlightSafety International's Maintenance Training Center in Savannah, Georgia, to develop and deliver training classes on satcom technology for operators of Gulfstream aircraft.

The Satcom Direct-led training will be delivered as part of a FlightSafety International scheduled package training course. The classes will provide comprehensive training on aircraft cabin communications for maintenance technicians, corporate flight attendants, and pilots, along with datalink training for pilots. The training will be specifically focused on Gulfstream aircraft.

The training course will consist of two separate components. The classroom portion of the training will take place at FlightSafety's Maintenance Training Center in Savannah, and the hands-on training will be conducted at Satcom Direct's new Savannah, Georgia, office and satellite testing and integration lab.

"We are excited to be working with FlightSafety International in creating and presenting this satcom training to Gulfstream operators and their personnel," said Jim Jensen, founder and owner of Satcom Direct.

"This is a great opportunity for pilots, flight attendants and maintenance technicians to expand their career skills, and our new office in Savannah, Georgia, allows us to develop and nurture this relationship."

"Our customers will benefit from Satcom Direct's dedicated experience with satcom systems and avionics equipment," said Charlie Harvich, Manager of FlightSafety's Maintenance Training in Savannah. "They will gain important book and classroom knowledge from our instructors and be able to put that knowledge immediately into action with hands-on work in the Satcom Direct testing lab."

Those interested in taking the training courses can contact FlightSafety's Savannah Center directly at 912-644-1000.

Information about the satcom training classes will be available in the Satcom Direct booth (#770) at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting & Convention in Orlando, Florida, October 30 to November 1 at the Orange County Convention Center.
