MOLINE, Ill., and ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 30, 2012 --- Elliott Aviation, a leader in a diverse range of business aviation services, celebrates its 75th Anniversary at NBAA 2012 with the announcement of its 75th installation of Garmin’s G1000 flat-panel integrated cockpit display in a King Air aircraft.

Elliott Aviation has completed half of all worldwide G1000s retrofits installed in King Air C90A/B/GT, 200/B200 and 300/350 aircraft to date, and its Moline, Ill. (MLI) and Des Moines, Iowa (DSM) facilities rank first and second, respectively, for G1000 installations in King Airs, making this the most successful avionics retrofit program ever.

Elliott Aviation last year received Garmin’s Platinum Award as an Elite Performance distributor, recognizing the company’s sales performance, technical expertise and customer service.

“Elliott Aviation’s expertise in G1000 installations enables us to complete these upgrades in as little as 15 days and at a value our competitors cannot match, enabling aircraft owners to operate a safer, better-performing and more valuable aircraft with minimal service disruptions,” said Mark Wilken, Elliott Aviation director of avionics sales and product development.

“Garmin is proud to have valued partners such as Elliott Aviation supporting the G1000 installations in the King Airs, an upgrade that dramatically reduces aircraft weight and enhances pilot situational awareness for more efficient and safe operations,” said Dave Brown, Garmin’s manager of G1000 retrofit programs.

Elliott Aviation has completed 65 G1000 modifications at its ISO 9001- and AS9100-certified headquarters facility at MLI, which also features complete interior design, fabrication and refurbishment and the most sophisticated aftermarket paint facility in the industry, enabling King Air owners to completely transform their aircraft into “like new” condition with minimal downtime. Elliott’s facility at DSM began installing G1000s earlier this year and has completed a total of 10 G1000 installations in King Airs to date.

The G1000 features dual 10-inch, high definition LCD Primary Flight Displays, a 15-inch Multi-Function Display, a fully integrated Flight Guidance System, IFR approved WAAS GPS, weather radar, and VHF navigation and communication receivers. Electronic charts, XM weather, Engine instruments and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) are integrated into the G1000 displays. Elliott Aviation also offers G1000 installations featuring Garmin’s Synthetic Vision, which enhances pilot situational awareness and safety.
