FlightSafety Appoints Chip Whte Manager, Savannah Learning Center

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NEW YORK (September 20, 2012) – FlightSafety International announces that Chip White has been appointed Manager of its Gulfstream Learning Center in Savannah, Georgia. David Davenport, who served as Manager of the Center since 2005, was recently promoted to Vice President and will be relocating to FlightSafety’s corporate offices in New York.

“Chip has made a significant contribution to FlightSafety since joining the company 12 years ago,” said Greg McGowan, Senior Vice President, Operations. “His experience and commitment to provide Gulfstream and our mutual Customers with the highest quality training and outstanding service made him the ideal choice to lead the Savannah Center. We are confident that Chip will continue the excellent work done by Dave Davenport and that our Savannah Teammates will appreciate and benefit from his leadership.”

Chip joined FlightSafety in the year 2000 as an instructor at the St. Louis, Missouri, Learning Center and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2002. He was named Manager of the Long Beach, California Learning Center in 2004, and was most recently Manager of the Columbus, Ohio Center.

He served with the United States Navy prior to joining FlightSafety. He flew a wide variety of military aircraft, including the C130, DC-9 and Gulfstream IV during his 27 year career, and retired with the rank of Captain.

Chip holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York in New Paltz, a Masters of Education from National-Louis University in Chicago, and a Diploma in Industrial Relations and Military Sciences from the United States Air Force.

The Center offers 11 full flight simulators for the Gulfstream GIV, GV, G450, G550 and G650 aircraft, a dedicated maintenance training building and comprehensive flight attendant and crew emergency training equipment and facilities.
