FlightSafety Promotes Daniel MacLellan to Regional Operations Manager

LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (September 20, 2012) - FlightSafety International announces that Daniel MacLellan has been promoted to Regional Operations Manager. He will continue to serve as Manager of FlightSafety’s Dallas/Fort Worth Learning Center.

With Dan’s assistance and leadership, the FlightSafety Centers he oversees will continue to go above and beyond to ensure our Customers receive outstanding service and the highest quality training available.”

As Regional Operations Manager, Dan will oversee six FlightSafety Learning Centers in addition to the Dallas/Fort Worth facility. They are located in Hong Kong; Lafayette, Louisiana; Long Beach, California; San Antonio, Texas; Savannah, Georgia; and West Palm Beach, Florida. He will provide guidance and support to the Managers of these Centers and assist with the planning and preparation of training program delivery, Customer service and satisfaction initiatives, business development, and the entry into service of flight simulators and other advanced training devices.

Dan has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility during his career with FlightSafety. He served the company’s Customers as Worldwide Sales Director at FlightSafety Boeing, Regional Marketing Manager, and Assistant Manager of the Greater Philadelphia/Wilmington Learning Center prior to being promoted to Manager of the Dallas/Fort Worth Center. He worked in sales for Johnson & Johnson and American Flyers prior to joining FlightSafety in 1994.

He received an Associates degree in Psychology from Quincy College, a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Suffolk University, and completed a Marketing Certification Program at the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton Business School as well as additional training for Entrepreneurship at Southern Methodist University. He holds a commercial pilot license, with single and multi engine ratings, as well as a private glider rating.
