ATP Introduces the HubConnect™ App for iPad®

Sept. 14, 2012
Providing Mobile Access to the Aviation Industry’s Largest Library of Maintenance Publications, Regulatory Documents and Pilot Operating Handbooks

Brisbane, Calif., September 14, 2012 – ATP, a market-leading, global knowledge services company, introduces the new HubConnect™ Document Management App and Mobile Service for the iPad® Mobile Digital Device from Apple. This innovative mobile app combines the power of ATP’s industry-leading, single-source knowledge services with the incredible portability of the iPad® to support today’s increasingly mobile workforce. Via the HubConnect™ App and the HubConnect™ Mobile Service, ATP Aviation Hub™ subscribers now have quick and efficient mobile access to the world’s largest library of maintenance publications, regulatory documents and pilot operating handbooks.

“We developed this app in collaboration with our customers and OEM partners to meet the growing demand for an iPad® solution that provides mobile and offline access to aircraft technical documents, regulatory publications and pilot operating handbooks,” said Oleg Zhoglo, ATP Product Manager. “The advantage of the HubConnect™ App is that subscribers to the ATP Aviation Hub™ Online Service can now access their content subscriptions out in the field, or in the cockpit, without requiring an Internet connection. It’s basically the convenience of the ATP Aviation Hub™ Online Service with the on-the-go capabilities of the iPad®.”

Via the ATP Aviation Hub™ Online Service, subscribers can select the information they want to store on their iPad® Mobile Digital Device, which reduces bandwidth costs and allows for optimal management of available memory. Users can choose sections of publications, full publications or complete libraries for access on their iPad®. When connected to the Internet, the HubConnect™ Mobile Service will synchronize all documents and also automatically update any revised content.

“The ATP Aviation Hub™ Online Service has changed the way our customers access and use technical publications, and the introduction of the new HubConnect™ App opens even more possibilities,” said Rich Marino, ATP President. “The HubConnect™ App also extends to new categories of users who are demanding mobile access to publications, including pilots, owners, and operators of aircraft. This mobile app is a valuable new component in our continued efforts to provide services that fuel the compliance and safety efforts of our customers, partners and the industry.”

The ATP Aviation Hub™ Online Service, introduced in January, has received an exceptional response from the industry, with more than 3,500 users registering to use the service in the first six months. Combined with the ATP Aviation Hub™, the new HubConnect App for iPad® provides mobile access to the world’s largest, single-source, aviation library with more than 750 maintenance libraries from over 50 manufacturers; regulatory libraries, including the FAA, EASA and ICAO; and Pilot Operating Handbooks from most major OEMs.
