Mxi Technologies’ Maintenix Software Supporting the Maintenance Business Transformation at LAN Airlines

Sept. 13, 2012
LAN currently is live on their existing fleet of more than 150 aircraft with a full Maintenix footprint across the Group’s geographically distributed network.

Ottawa, Canada (September 13, 2012) – Mxi® Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance management software, today announced that with the receipt of their first Boeing 787 Dreamliner, LAN Airlines (LAN) is among the world’s leading commercial operators to track and maintain their next-generation aircraft using the Maintenix software.

In addition to marking a significant milestone in the growth strategy of LAN Airlines, the receipt and rapid induction of the first Dreamliner in the Americas reflects a dedicated 787 project team committed to best practices and maintenance program modernization through their use of Maintenix. LAN currently is live on their existing fleet of more than 150 aircraft with a full Maintenix footprint across the Group’s geographically distributed network, encompassing engineering, planning, execution, materials, and technical records. As LAN continues to take receipt of new aircraft, their Maintenix installation will scale to meet the demands of an expanding fleet.

“Business system modernization and fleet expansion are two key aspects surrounding LAN’s vision for the organization, and we see next-generation IT as a key enabler to support this business transformation,” says Ruy Lotz, Technical Support Director, LAN Airlines. “Using Maintenix has allowed us to capitalize on efficiencies in our maintenance organization through single-system support across the airlines in the group, as well as enable us to confidently manage the requirements of our varied fleet, including the first of our 787s.”

“Over the last several years and through dedication to an ambitious but clear business strategy, LAN has steadily evolved into one of the world’s leading airlines and we are pleased to have played a part in their transformation,” says Dave Seibel, Chairman and CEO, Mxi Technologies. “We share in their success and take great pride in the Maintenix software being once again proven in-field to underpin the maintenance program of a large and diverse fleet, including next generation aircraft.”
