Windy City Charter Changes Name, Adds King Air 350

Sept. 6, 2012

WHEELING, Illinois, September 4, 2012  --  Windy City Charter is pleased to announce its new name “Ventis Aviation” and the addition of a King Air 350 to its fleet.  The company’s home offices, leadership and air carrier certificate remain unchanged.  The new name took effect earlier this year and has already become the operating arm for both the aircraft charter and management services.

Dean Ellis, President, said the new name “is a logical result of our growth and nationwide presence.  With bases of operations opening in locations across the country, we needed to select a title that better suits our evolving identity.  The word ‘Ventis’ has Latin roots and remains true to our original name and the company’s 18-year history, which was very important to us.  We are thrilled with the feedback we’ve received from the new name, logo and website.”

In addition, Ventis Aviation is proud to announce the addition of a King Air 350 to its charter fleet at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK) in Wheeling, IL.  The 9-seat King Air is a tremendous aircraft and will be a significant asset to the Chicagoland area charter market.  The King Air 350 is the most advanced model of the highly successful King Air series, providing the longest range, highest speed and largest payload than any other Beechraft turboprop aircraft.  The 350 is the ideal aircraft for regional charter missions to Wisconsin and Michigan, but can also comfortably carry large groups of passengers to New York, Colorado and even Florida non-stop.

The King Air compliments Ventis’ growing fleet, which also includes a Hawker 700 based in Grand Junction, Colorado; and a Beech Baron based at Chicago Executive Airport.  All three aircraft are available for charter.
