NATA Announces New Workers' Compensation Insurance Program

NATA's members participating in NATA's Safety 1st programs will be given preferential pricing wherever it is permitted by state rules.

Alexandria, VA – September 5, 2012 —The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) is pleased to announce that starting January 1, 2013, the association will offer its members a new, cutting edge benefit, the NATA Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program.

The new NATA Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program was designed to benefit members’ businesses and help advance our industry’s safety goals embodied in NATA’s Safety 1st program. The NATA Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program is underwritten by Companion Property & Casualty Group and managed by Beacon Aviation Insurance Services, Inc. This exciting new program will offer Beacon’s most competitive prices for NATA members. In addition, NATA’s members participating in NATA’s Safety 1st programs will be given preferential pricing wherever it is permitted by state rules.

The new program was developed not only to reduce member operating costs but also to assist NATA in fostering and expanding its current array of safety programs. To date, NATA’s Safety 1st program supports members through:

  • on-line training,
  • the NATA Safety 1st Management System for Ground Operations,
  • the NATA Safety 1st Management System for Air Operators, and
  • the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Standard.
