Aircraft and Performers Announced for Upcoming Atlanta Air Show
Atlanta - The Salute America 2012 Air Show’s planning committee has released details regarding scheduled aerial performances and static aircraft displays that have been confirmed for the event on October 20th, 2012, at the new Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport (KPUJ) in Dallas, GA.
The air show is expected to draw over 15,000 aviation enthusiasts from the metro Atlanta area and the southeastern United States. An impressive line-up of static aircraft displays and aerial performers are scheduled for the air show, including well-known aerial acrobatics teams, such as Team AeroShell, the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Wings of Blue Parachute Team and the U.S. Army’s Sky Soldiers Demonstration Team. Other notable performers include the Hawker-Beechcraft Defense Company’s Texan II Demo and a performance by Gary Rower's Vintage Air Shows.
Several unique military aircraft are scheduled to make flyovers during the event, including a B-52 ‘Stratofortress’ and several other surprise appearances to be announced. A variety of aircraft will be on static display during the air show, including a Lockheed C-130 'Hercules' military transport aircraft, an F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet, several private / business aircraft and a U.S. Coast Guard rescue helicopter.
Along with generous corporate sponsorships confirmed from Chik-fil-A and The Coca-Cola Company, the air show is expected to have a significant economic impact throughout Paulding County and the surrounding region. The air show’s planning committee includes several military and civilian pilots who offer extensive experience in planning and marketing both civilian and military air shows.
