StandardAero Components Receives New International Certifications – Expands Capabilities with Additional 1,000 Part Repairs
StandardAero Components successfully renewed its Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) certification and obtained a new authorization from Indonesia’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
TEMPE, Ariz. – August 30, 2012 – StandardAero Components, an OEM authorized provider of component repair and overhaul services for the U.S. military and commercial aviation industry, announced it has expanded its global service capabilities with the recent certification and approval for engine component repair and overhaul, from two international civil aviation authorities.
StandardAero Components successfully renewed its Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) certification and obtained a new authorization from Indonesia’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation. StandardAero Components currently holds FAA, EASA, and CAAC 145 certification across a broad range of platforms, including GE, CFMI, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, and Honeywell product lines.
The recertification by CAAC expands StandardAero’s support capabilities with an additional 1,000 new part numbers beyond the 2,000 parts previously certified. The recent certifications extend the company’s ability to support repair capabilities across Asia, one of the fastest-growing aviation regions in the world.

StandardAero Components, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, maintains over 200,000 square feet of state of the art part repair and engineering shop capability, in addition to a 50,000 square foot composite and bond shop and an assembly area offering the optimal environment for an industry leader in repair services. An on-site, Repair Development Center of Excellence offers full tool design and fabrication capability. Components part restoration capabilities include close tolerance machining; a full range of thermal spray application techniques and materials; heat treat and braze; precision surface finishing; CNC machining; electrical discharge machining; shot peening and a comprehensive suite of welding techniques and NDT capabilities.
