London, 9 July 2012: AlMasria Universal Airlines, the Egyptian value-based airline which commenced operations in 2009, has awarded A J Walter Aviation a multimillion dollar contract to provide component power-by-the-hour support initially for its existing fleet of two A320 and one A321 aircraft.  A main base kit will also be located in Cairo to further support daily operational needs. Winning this important five year agreement is another step forward for AJW, the world’s leading independent integrated aircraft support specialist, and further cements its pro-active range of support services across the Middle-East and North Africa region.

AlMasria offers scheduled flights to about 20 destinations across the Middle East, Europe and Africa and is the first private airline to fly scheduled services to Saudi Arabia.  The airline has ambitious growth objectives and plans to increase its fleet to up to ten Airbus by 2014.

“We are extremely proud to be working with AlMasria, Egypt’s leading private airline” says Boris Wolstenholme, Chief Executive of AJW. “Our low cost base, world class logistics and a flexible commercial approach makes us the ideal partner to support their expanding route network.  We have an extensive customer base across the region which we support out of our UK and Dubai facilities. We have worked hard to totally align ourselves with the commercial demands of this dynamic region”.

This new contract once again underlines the benefits of PBH, pooling and leasing options available from AJW.  Already highly regarded for its award-winning 24/7 AOG and critical component services, AJW is also currently growing its integrated consumables management and aircraft engine services business.  Serving a global customer base of more than 800 airlines with over 400 aircraft under contract, AJW is fast becoming the partner of choice to offer fully integrated support solutions to airline and MRO organisations seeking competitive advantage.
