EVA Signs 12-Year OnPoint Solution Agreement for GE90 Engines

FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW - July 9, 2012 -- EVA Airways has also signed a 12-year OnPointSM solution services agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of its GE90-115B engines that will power its new seven Boeing 777-300ER aircraft ordered in May. The contract is valued at about $300 million (USD) over its life of agreement.

"EVA has made a strong commitment to the GE90 engine technology, which will power its entire wide-body fleet," said Kevin McAllister, vice president and general manager of Global Sales at GE Aviation. "GE will work with EVA to ensure the airline will continue to experience the outstanding performance the GE90-115B engine offers along with exemplary service and support that GE as the OEM can provide."

EVA Airways began operating in 1991 and has become one of the fastest growing airlines in Asia. With an extensive fleet of 58 aircraft, EVA operates passenger and cargo routes to 62 cities around the world. In May, EVA ordered seven GE90-115B-powered Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with four aircraft leased from GECAS and three purchased from Boeing  This order brings EVA's GE90-powered Boeing 777 fleet to 22 aircraft.
