Sierra Industries names Paul C. Wood to Director of Sales post

UVALDE, TX – June 15, 2012 – Sierra Industries is pleased to announce the addition of Paul C. Wood to their sales and marketing staff as Director of Sales and Support. A highly capable executive with extensive experience in product development and operations as well as sales and marketing, Paul will be responsible for directing Sierra’s growing team of aviation sales professionals. In making the announcement, SkyWay Group President and CEO Mark Huffstutler stated, “Paul brings a wealth of organizational, technical and sales management experience to his new role at Sierra Industries. He is a valuable addition to our team and we look forward to an exciting and productive future together.”


Since 2008, Mr. Wood served as General Manager for Landmark Aviation in their Los Angeles, CA and Asheville, NC locations. Prior to that, he spent several years working for a technology development firm in Cambridge, England as Vice President of Business Development. In that role, he managed a sales force of more than 40 representatives in multiple countries around the world. Other experiences included a decade as Senior Buyer for Schwitzer US, Inc., a manufacturer of turbochargers, fan clutches, and engine vibration dampers and as the founder and President of an independent technical sales organization. Paul’s background of more than 30 years in high technology product development, operations and sales promises to be a significant asset as Sierra and the Skyway Group continue to expand their cooperative R&D projects with a variety of OEM firms.


Paul is a licensed Private Pilot with an instrument rating and he looks forward to helping serve Sierra’s established Citation customer base as well as building and extending relationships into new segments of the aviation marketplace. His experience in building a successful FBO startup and expertise in creating, developing and managing an effective customer service organization will be invaluable in extending and enhancing Sierra’s sales and product support operations.
