CLEVELAND … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation will provide a variety of military aircraft products, including Arc-Alert circuit-protection technology, in contracts recently awarded by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The contracts valued at $2 million were announced May 10 during Eaton’s Aerospace Customer Support Conference in Cambridge, Md.

“With these contracts, Eaton continues building on our relationship with the DLA as a key supplier of products that improve the safety, reliability and operational readiness of the nation’s military aircraft,” said Einar Johnson, vice president of Eaton’s Aerospace Group. “Eaton provides cost-effective technology upgrades and solutions for our military customers that help modernize existing fleets and keep aircraft in operation around the world.”

Arc-Alert™ offers a proven, convenient and cost-effective method to replace outdated aircraft circuit protection with next-generation technology to effectively mitigate arcing damage and other hazards caused by electrical faults. The DLA contracts also include Eaton pressure switches, control assemblies and seal assemblies, all of which will be used on a variety of military aircraft platforms.

The DLA is the Department of Defense's largest logistics combat support agency, providing supplies and services to U.S. military forces worldwide. The DLA procures nearly all of the consumable items used by America’s military forces, including 84 percent of the military’s spare parts.
