Uwe Mukrasch steps down from Lufthansa Technik Executive Board
Uwe Mukrasch (50), who has been a member of the Lufthansa Technik Executive Board with responsibility for Human Resources and Information since January 2007, has asked the Lufthansa Technik Supervisory Board to release him from his contract early so he can pursue other career interests.
Stephan Gemkow, Chairman of the Lufthansa Technik Supervisory Board, said: "With the departure of Uwe Mukrasch we are losing an excellent manager who has made a valuable contribution to Lufthansa Technik during his 20 years with the company. The Supervisory Board and the entire company would like to express their gratitude to him for that.
As a member of the Executive Board and as Labour Director he has, in particular, successfully developed the Human Resources division while fostering a constructive dialogue with the Works Council and the trade unions, and has thus further increased the success of the Lufthansa Technik Group."
The Supervisory Board will announce a successor to Uwe Mukrasch shortly.
Uwe Mukrasch was born on 5 December 1961. He joined Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg as a project coordinator in Information Management. He was later appointed head of the Strategic Information Management department and, from 1998, Head of Information Systems Technology. At the beginning of 2000, he took over as Senior Vice President, Aircraft Component Services at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg. Mukrasch, an IT and Economics specialist, has been responsible at Executive Board level for Human Resources and Information Management since 1 January 2007.
