GAL Aviation and MENA Aerospace Complete Aircraft Interiors Joint Venture

EBACE, Geneva, Switzerland, May 14, 2012 - GAL Aviation Inc. of Quebec City and MENA Aerospace Enterprises WLL of Bahrain have successfully established GALMENA WLL, a joint venture based in Bahrain providing comprehensive services for corporate aircraft and VIP airliner interiors design, refurbishment and installation. GALMENA has fabrication and design capabilities in Bahrain, and carries out training in the trades associated with this activity.

Ralph Eisenschmid, MENA Aerospace Enterprises group CEO said, “We are excited about completing this agreement and getting this joint venture started for operation commencement in October 2012. GAL Aviation brings a wealth of experience to the venture which, when coupled with MENA Aerospace’s established regional presence, now provides a unique level of service and expertise to the region’s aircraft owners, operators and manufacturers.”

Marc St-Hilaire, GAL Aviation partner and vice-president of business development, said: “We announced our intention to form this joint venture in November and now that first step is complete. We are looking forward to fulfilling the region’s high demand for these products and services. MENA’s established presence in the area  provides the operational platform and regional network from which to deliver these services. This operation focuses on aircraft cabin refurbishment, reconfiguration and warranty programs. This complements our operation in Canada, where we design and produce new aircraft cabin components for several business jet manufacturers.”

The services are provided from GALMENA manufacturing and operational support facilities in Bahrain, and at its hangar at the Bahrain International Airport, and supported by GAL Aviation’s production center in Canada.
