(Houston, TX—May 9, 2012) Landmark Aviation will participate in the Federal Aviation Administration’s Safety and Management Systems Pilot Program. A request to the Federal Aviation Administrator to participate in the program was granted in March 2012. The pilot program is a collaboration of industry and the FAA to determine the best opportunities for safety improvement. Landmark Aviation and the FAA will join in the pursuit of continuous safety improvements through this program.

Landmark Aviation is dedicated to the development of a Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS) to achieve a continuous improvement level. “Safety and unparalleled customer service are core values of the company. Landmark Aviation is committed to support the comprehensive effort over the next three years,” stated Dan Bucaro, President & CEO of Landmark Aviation.

One step that Landmark Aviation took toward achieving a continuous improvement safety system was adding Eric Lugger as the Corporate Director of Safety. He has a strong background in SQMS implementation, and has been an asset to Landmark Aviation over the past year. During the first half of 2012, Q-Pulse, a software application, will be implemented to allow safety data to be recorded electronically. This will allow detailed analysis of the Landmark Aviation Safety and Quality Systems.
